Welcome to Rosella Pizzi Counselling
Supporting your mental well-being with empathy, understanding, and professional care.
Rosella Pizzi
Integrative Counsellor
I’m Rosella, a qualified integrative counsellor with practices in Sutton, Surrey, and South-West London, SW4. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I follow their Ethical Framework, ensuring you receive the highest level of professional and confidential care.
Reaching out for help is a courageous decision. We all face unique life challenges, and seeking therapy can reflect feelings such as anxiety, confusion, burnout, or inadequacy. I would be honoured to listen to your story, help you navigate the complexities of life, and support you in achieving a more fulfilled and balanced life. In our sessions, we will work together to reshape how you think, feel, and act, aligning your actions with your true self and overall well-being.
I am passionate about helping individuals manage life’s difficulties, whether you are struggling with anxiety, experiencing overwhelming emotions, managing anger, dealing with grief, navigating significant life transitions, seeking clarity in your relationships, or working on self-confidence. My aim is to offer a safe, empathic, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard and understood. Through our work, we will explore your experiences and work toward creating meaningful, positive changes in your life.
The Way I Work
I offer individual counselling for both adults and young people, with the flexibility to provide short-term or long-term therapy, depending on your needs and goals. Whether you wish to address a specific issue or want to explore your emotions and experiences more deeply over time, our sessions will progress at a pace that feels right for you.
I work integratively, combining a range of therapeutic models to offer a personalized experience based on your unique needs. My practice is rooted in the Relational Integrative Model, which allows us to draw on different modalities to suit your goals. The therapeutic relationship we build is central to this process, and I believe that a genuine, trusting connection is essential for healing. Together, we may explore your childhood and past experiences, understanding how they shape your current thoughts, emotions, and behaviours — often in ways you may not be fully aware of. This process fosters self-awareness and self-compassion, helping you break free from limiting patterns and empowering you to move forward with greater clarity.
For children, I integrate play therapy, a powerful tool that helps them express emotions, process experiences, and navigate challenges in a natural, non-verbal way.
What to Expect in Sessions
Each session is an opportunity for you to speak freely and be heard in a safe, confidential space. My role is to listen deeply, without judgment, and guide you through the process of understanding and addressing your concerns.
Session Structure
First Session: Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and understand your reasons for seeking therapy. During this time, we will:
- Discuss your goals and what you hope to achieve through therapy.
- Determine whether we are a good therapeutic fit.
- Explore the potential impact of therapy on your overall well-being.
Ongoing Sessions: Each session lasts 50 minutes, and we’ll meet weekly or fortnightly depending on your needs. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that are causing you distress.
I work with both short-term and long-term models of therapy, depending on your preferences and goals.
In-Person and Online Sessions
I provide both face-to-face counselling and online video sessions in Sutton and Clapham South. Additionally, I offer “Walk & Talk” therapy or “Park Bench” sessions, weather permitting, allowing you to choose a setting that feels most comfortable and convenient. For children, I can arrange school or home visits, and for individuals with limited mobility, I also provide home visits.
